'As a sculptor, I shape matter into something that cannot easily be expressed in words. Each sculpture is a passive disruption, a silent rebellion against simplicity and social convention – and a highly personal reaction to the anxieties and uncertainties I find in everyday life. I am not interested in illustrating meaning, rather in making awkward objects that generate frictions between different fields of reference and interpretation, between public tradition and private psychic charge, between memory and desire.'
